i really really dont understand why i am blocked i just started this account to help document tunisian sports history which is a huge passion of mine and i dont know why u think i am this mejri fares person... look everyone here is a crazy fan of taraji and we use the same books and local archives for our info so its not surprising someone else was editing the same stuff or uploading sounds (( in the investigation it says this mejri fares guy used audio too ,, but so what? the arabic audio is my own voice and the french audio is just an app for french pronounciation because i dont want to risk not prounoucing it correct,, for the arabic one it needs to be in tunisian dialect thats why i used my own voice)) we may speak the same dialect and follow same team and use same sources so it doesnt mean i am him

i am not this guy i swear i dont even know him i am just a student trying to help the site. if the problem is that i am editing same topics as that blocked user then i can just stop doing football articles and do something else to prove i am my own person... i just want to help wikipedia... please take another look at this because it feels like i am being punished just for being a fan of the same team as a bad editor it is not fairr you can see how i want to learn wikipedia edits check my recent edits Thank yu and pplease please check this again Rvolta (talk) 07:41, 6 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

This is not a "permanent ban", it is neither permanent with no possibility of removal, nor a ban(see WP:BAN and WP:BLOCK). This is an indefinite block, only meaning it has no arbitrary end date and that you must convince an admin to remove it. Merely adding an end date that you can just wait out does nothing. Thank you for the explanation ,,i rreally thought an indefinite block meant I was banned forever so I appreciate you clarifying that it is about showing I understand what went wrong I get that your system sees a pattern linking me to a user from last year, i know I cannot really prove I am not that person if the tools are saying otherwise so I am not ggoing to keep arguing about it. I understand you have to protect the site from people trying to bypass blocks The thing is, i just want to help out with tunisian sports articles there is so much data and history that is missing or not documented well. If you are worried about me being a problem, maybe we can try a trial period? You could keep me restricted to drafts or just a few pages for a while so I can prove that my edits are actually good and that I follow the rules. It's actually less the technical evidence, which was assessed to be "possilikely" (i.e. between "possible" and "likely"). The main evidence against you at this time is the uncanny overlap in topics edited across multiple Wikimedia projects and languages. While it is plausible that two people could have similar interests and linguistic proficiency, it is considerably less plausible that you not only edited a very similar list of articles across two separate Wikipedia projects, you also contributed what appear to be AI-generated pronunciations of the exact same words in French and Arabic on Wikimedia Commons. If you are unable to come up with a compelling explanation for why you chose these exact topics to focus on, your best route back to editing on English Wikipedia would be to take a standard offer of coming back in 6 months and filing another unblock request for a second chance.
