About bushmeat

[edit]

Hello QuicoleJR,

My intention is not to start an edit war in the Bushmeat page. However, the previously existing page (which i have fully replaced) did NOT address a major component of the term. Isn't that editorializing? Why would you have all the problems associated with wild meat consumption listed only in Bushmeat but not in the neutral page "Game (hunting)"?. Why should we shy away from addressing a major aspect of the term? Quantitativegenetics (talk) 15:25, 2 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I did not revert the full rewrite, someone else did. I have not looked at that yet. As long as it is properly sourced, it should be fine. However, once you've been reverted, and especially if it happens more than once, it is expected for editors to discuss the issue on the talk page instead of continuing to restore their preferred version. Feel free to ask if you have any more questions. In solidarity, QuicoleJR (talk) 15:29, 2 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

About the pizzaguy

[edit]

I suspect that's not really a cop. :-)   –Skywatcher68 (talk) 18:11, 2 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

LOL I didn't check what the number led to. I'm not sure what he expected to come of that. In solidarity, QuicoleJR (talk) 18:13, 2 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Turkey at the 1963 Mediterranean Games

[edit]

Which unreliable sources are you referring to? Which unreliable sources are you referring to? The Turkish National Olympic Committee??? The Turkish National Olympic Committee in this sources all written. I doubt you’ve actually looked at the sources. If you check the pages for other countries from the same year, you’ll see that the Turkey page is in much better shape. For examle: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yugoslavia_at_the_1963_Mediterranean_Games , https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italy_at_the_1967_Mediterranean_Games Pehlivanmeydani (talk)

@Pehlivanmeydani: The problem isn't that the sources are bad, it's that the table of medalists doesn't use any sources. In solidarity, QuicoleJR (talk) 13:25, 8 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
https://olimpiyat.org.tr/Oyun-Detay/tunus-1967-akdeniz-oyunlari/65 SONUÇLAR - All medalist written there Pehlivanmeydani (talk) 14:32, 8 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

A beer for you!

Glad to read your stress levels are lower! Cheers! GeogSage (⚔Chat?⚔) 22:54, 17 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, Geog! I haven't seen you in a while. How have things been going on your end? In solidarity, QuicoleJR (talk) 23:19, 17 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Been a bit busy with work and dealing with my own life stresses, so less active on Wikipedia this year. Trying to focus on mainspace a bit more where possible, as the main reorganization I was working on in vital articles didn't pass, and I'm really not sure where to go from there. Hope you are able to enjoy the summer and get time to relax away from work or school. GeogSage (⚔Chat?⚔) 21:26, 19 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I hope things get better for you in your personal life. I've also been a lot less active at Vital Articles recently simply because I've been spending my editing time on other things (mainspace and ITN). By the way, have you heard about the recent petition about the WMF's alleged union busting? Over 1000 editors have signed it, so it might be something you'd like to check out. Anyway, like I said, I hope your life stresses calm down. See you around! :) In solidarity, QuicoleJR (talk) 22:38, 20 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
