Your submission at Articles for creation: Colin Harvey (February 18)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Hoary was:
This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources.
 The comment the reviewer left was:
"References" heads a long list (currently "[50] [4] [3] [6]....") of reference indices -- for what? (For example, what is the assertion for which "[50]" is cited?) A remarkably high percentage of the references for this draft are to the writings of Colin Harvey. But what we need are references to material written by people independent of Harvey.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit it after they have been resolved.

Feedback
The reviewer, Athanelar, left the following feedback:
This draft appears to be generated by a large language model (such as ChatGPT). You cannot use LLMs to generate article content.

LLM-generated pages with certain obvious signs of being machine generated may be deleted without notice.

These tools are prone to specific issues that violate our policies:

  • hallucinations: they often invent false information and cite non-existent references.
  • unencyclopedic tone: they tend to be vague, promotional, or essay-like, rather than neutral and factual.
  • copyright issues: they may closely paraphrase existing text, leading to copyright violations.

Instead, only summarize in your own words a range of independent, reliable, published sources that discuss the subject.

See the advice page on large language models for more information.
This draft reads like a resume or curriculum vitae. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a professional networking website or a place to promote yourself or your services. We also strongly discourage writing about yourself.

Articles about people must meet Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion for people. The draft requires multiple published secondary sources that:

  • provide significant coverage: discuss the person in detail, not just brief mentions or routine announcements;
  • are reliable: from reputable outlets with editorial oversight;
  • are independent: not connected to the person, such as interviews, press releases, the subject's own website, or sponsored content.
Please add references that meet all three of these criteria. If none exist, the subject is not yet suitable for Wikipedia.
A Wikipedia article should be a neutral summary of what the majority of people who are wholly unconnected with the subject have independently chosen to publish about the subject in reliable publications, (see Golden rule) and not much else. What you know (or anybody else knows) about the subject is not relevant except where it can be verified from a reliable published source. An article should not be a laundry list of a person's accomplishments, no matter how impressive.
