You may be eligible to vote in the U4C election

[edit]

I am contacting you because you previously voted in elections related to the Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C). You may be eligible to vote in the current U4C election, which is open now and closes on 2 June 2026. You can find out more about the candidates and the election on the election page on Meta, and from there you can access the vote itself. Your participation in these elections is important to the governance of Wikimedia communities, and your time spent learning about the candidates and voting is appreciated.

Want to join Wiki Loves Fútbol?

[edit]

You are invited to participate in Wiki Loves Fútbol! We're running it during the 2026 World Cup, starting now until July 19. Help us edit pages on everything futbol: think national teams from across Latin America, players, host cities, and the stuff around the cup that usually gets short shrift, like the immigration and culture angles. We're working in both English and Spanish.

Here's the fun part: it's set up like a Panini sticker album. You collect stamps for different kinds of contributions: editing an article, adding a photo over on Wikimedia Commons, doing a translation, or starting a Wikidata item. Fill the album first to win $200. That’s not all: we are also giving out $25 prizes to the “Player of the Match” every week the contest runs. You don't have to be a power editor to play. Everyone is welcome!

If you're a little curious, come take a look at our target articles. Do you think we are missing some good articles? We are open to suggestions! The best place to actually get going is our WikiLatinos Discord, that's where the article missions will live, where the leaderboard is, and where someone can point you to a good first edit if you want one.

Hope you'll jump in. Oscar_. (talk) 18:04, 9 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sure all those recent edits were by the same editor. Does it look AI to you? Thanks! Magnolia677 (talk) 21:37, 12 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for keeping an eye on this. But I worked for hours with this student over the past few months. He wrote all this slowly and surely, from sources I vetted for him. So def not AI. Your efforts are appreciated though. Mozucat (talk) 21:43, 12 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
None of the editors stated they were students on their talk page. All good. Cheers! Magnolia677 (talk) 21:49, 12 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
thanks - we will remember to do that next time. Mozucat (talk) 21:52, 12 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
