The UNC Dairy Logo was uploaded and ended up being saved as an .svg file instead of a .png file. This image is replacing the old logo for Upstate Niagara Cooperative. Mld74 (talk) 20:13, 18 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2025 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:24, 18 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Better source request for File:Franklinton Town Seal New.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete or generic. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact source (such as the web page, or printed document) where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain, search engine, pinboard, aggregator, or the direct/bare URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. — Ирука13 11:41, 3 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Request to look at a edit made on a page

[edit]

Heya, I was looking at recent changes and noticed a new user removing information with the summary of "clarifying information" whilst removing an entire section and multiple bullet points. I noticed you have made a significant portion of edits, so if you could help decide if this warrants a rollback, that would be highly appreciated! https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Batten_Kill_Railroad&oldid=1354938320 Riklik1984 (talk) 02:57, 19 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there,
Apparently, the Batten Kill Railroad and the Southern New England Railroad are two different companies after doing some additional research. Bill Taber is the current CEO of the Batten Kill (1982-present), located in Greenwich, New York. Dave Coppola is the CEO of the Southern New England Railroad (2019-present), which is supposedly located in Jewett City, Connecticut, even though all of their locomotives normally operate on the Batten Kill railroad lines in New York. I will have to do a separate article for SNEX at a later time. The two companies must have an association, though, in order for SNEX Engine #5015 to have the Batten Kill logo on the side of it.
Thank you for letting me know.

ADDENUM: In looking more into SNEX, the railroad company actually leases locomotives and equipment to short line operators who need additional assistance in freight operations and snow removal during winter. Apparently, any reporting mark that ends in "X" is going to be a leasing company. This separates them from standard railroad companies. Therefore, I will not doing a separate article since SNEX does not own any trackage. Instead, I put the four SNEX locomotives in the section with the other two that the Batten Kill occasionally uses from other companies.Mld74 (talk) 01:01, 21 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
