NPR

[edit]

Hi @Left guide!

I've requested at Wikipedia:PERM as suggested, aligning with my intention of reverting vandalism and malicious edits

Additionally, can I apply at NPR? I seemingly meet the guidelines stated therein. Thanks! Retro music11 (talk) 21:14, 30 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Retro music11: Sure, go ahead and make a fresh request for NPR with a relevant rationale. I'd highly recommend linking to this discussion showing my consent to ensure that other reviewing admins will assess it on merit and not procedurally decline it because I declined the first one. Left guide (talk) 21:44, 30 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@Left guide Thank you for responding. In that case should I withdraw my current request, considering procedural decline applies here? Retro music11 (talk) 15:24, 31 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@Retro music11: I'm sorry, I'm not sure I understand. Leave the original NPR request there that I declined (because other admins probably won't take kindly to attempting to withdraw/remove a request that has been responded to), and then start a new one at the bottom of the page while mentioning that I allowed you to do so. Does this make sense? Left guide (talk) 18:08, 31 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Done!
@Left guide Thank you kindly! Retro music11 (talk) 16:56, 1 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Miscellaneous

Hey LG

[edit]

Could you revdelete this from my user page? Thanks! ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 19:59, 5 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@WikiOriginal-9:  Done. Left guide (talk) 21:41, 5 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Too kind!

[edit]

Thank you very much, LG. That was very much appreciated. Two things .. first, I wanted to thank you here, being that I remove most of my babble on my page. Second, I do remember saying in the past that I needed a lot of help to get that GA done. You and others really helped out, more than I can say. I'm also glad that my computer found a few references to add, I had to apologize to Mr. Dell, he came through for me. (You see, I can go on and on, lol.) Thanks again! Bringingthewood (talk) 21:30, 13 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Bringingthewood: You're welcome. It's well-deserved, and I was somewhat surprised you don't seem to have received a Steelers Barnstar before. You were long overdue for one. Left guide (talk) 02:46, 14 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
For good reason I guess, because it means a lot more receiving it now. Thanks once again and enjoy the rest of your weekend. Bringingthewood (talk) 03:14, 14 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@Bringingthewood: Haha that's a nifty way to frame it. Cheers, Left guide (talk) 03:42, 14 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Protection

[edit]

I requested Wikipedia:Requests_for_page_protection/Increase#Jaime_Jaquez_Jr., if you're in a protection mood. Not sure if you're uninvolved enough to handle Giannis full protection.[1]Bagumba (talk) 05:39, 23 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@Bagumba: Seems like another admin got to these with ECP while I was offline. I only found one extended confirmed user who has been adding the disputed content at Giannis, but you've been successfully dealing with that user at your talk page (thanks), so I don't see a need for full protection or other further administrative measures at this time. Left guide (talk) 16:43, 23 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. Giannis had multiple ex-confs e.g. [2][3][4]. But at least the activity subsided overnight. —Bagumba (talk) 17:52, 23 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
