both the Indiana and Ohio State football pages's rivalries section feature both teams which is alright the problem is that the sections are both too long compared the others rivalries in the section for instants the Ohio State section on Indiana's rivalry section of their page is twice as long as the purdue section or Kentucky section. Which therefore presents an anomaly, overall I believe both Ohio State, and Indiana's rivalry shuldn't be include on either page's as a rivalry page has not been created. Once a page is created with the correct sources that both section on both school's football pages on each other's team should be include, but not as long as the other's as it isn't a primary rivalry. But that's just my opinion. ~2026-38986-0 (talk) 17:27, 18 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for creating this article on a Polish street. It's similar in notability to others in Category:Streets in Kraków. The article seems to be a direct translation of the Polish equivalent; note that this should be acknowledged in the first edit summary; see HELP:TRANSLATION.

Non-attributed translations

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from pl:Ulica Jabłonowskich w Krakowie to Jabłonowskich Street. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. Sample wording for this is given here. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution must be given retroactively, for example:

NOTE: Content in the edit of 01:25, January 25, 2023 was translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution.

Retroactive attribution may be added using a dummy edit; see Repairing insufficient attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. – DreamRimmer (talk) 06:47, 10 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Streets need significant coverage in reliable sources to be notable. A city map, book of street names, and list of buildings are not sufficient to establish notability. voorts (talk/contributions) 20:25, 5 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

The article 16 Garncarska has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unclear how this passes WP:GNG, WP:NBUILDING.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Rollback granted

[edit]

Hi Igor123121. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or Ultraviolet. It just adds a [rollback] button next to a page's latest live revision. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only. Never use rollback to revert good faith edits. For more information about when rollback is appropriate, see Wikipedia:Rollback § When to use rollback.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose or any other inappropriate purpose, the rights will be revoked.
  • Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, ask!

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Malinaccier (talk) 15:54, 24 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

WP:TALK, which addresses how to use Wikipedia talk pages. While it doesn't explicitly say "you don't need sources for opinions," the general guideline is that talk pages are for discussing improvements to articles, and opinions on how content should be phrased or structured can be made without sourcing.

The specific guidance comes from:

WP:TALK: Talk pages are meant for discussing improvements, and it's not necessary to provide sources just for expressing an opinion, as long as you're not presenting new information as fact.

WP:V (Verifiability) applies to content in the main article, but on a talk page, you're allowed to express opinions or ideas based on what you think the best approach would be for neutrality, clarity, or policy adherence.

For example, on a talk page, you can say:

"I believe the wording here is too sensationalized and violates NPOV. Instead of using 'violently beat,' perhaps we could say 'assaulted,' which is more neutral."

In this case, you’re expressing an opinion, but you're not making a claim of fact or proposing a new, unsourced statement for the article.

To clarify further:

WP:Consensus applies when you're trying to reach an agreement in the discussion, so it's encouraged to show your reasoning, but you don't need to bring sources for your opinions unless you're making factual claims. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.213.37.20 (talk) 14:28, 8 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Igor123121 I am with the IP here. Why are you not using edit summaries in your reversions? And why are you ignoring the requirements of WP:BURDEN, which means the onus is on you to reference your additions? Danners430 tweaks made 18:52, 16 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Danners430 Hi. My mistake – I’ve admitted to it. As for WP:BURDEN – I completely disagree with you. This is just an example, but imagine someone deletes the entire content of an unsourced page, and when reverting it so the page isn’t empty, I’m supposed to add sources? As for the mistake I mentioned earlier, I admitted it and reverted my own edit myself: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nadiad&diff=prev&oldid=1311749366 Igor123121 (talk) 18:59, 16 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Here’s the problem - if an article is unsourced, WP:V allows for the content to be deleted. Anyone is allowed to remove unsourced content - and it shouldn’t be re-added unless sources have been found and added. And if an entire article is unsourced and sources can’t be found, then perhaps it’s time for an AfD… Danners430 tweaks made 19:13, 16 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thomas Kinkade

[edit]

Hi! I saw you reverted an edit that I made on Thomas Kinkade as vandalism. The edit removed a lengthy quote in the lead, sourced from a single critic on a subject widely covered by critics. It's included verbatim in the body, and the current lead has the full credentials of the quote's source clogging everything up. I'm not going to push it since I'm editing from an IP. But it's worth taking a second glance at the content. 73.4.7.165 (talk) 16:08, 25 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Stack Overflow

[edit]

Hi. I see you used rollback to reverted an edit that I made on Stack Overflow, and the rollback had no edit summary. My edit was to remove a vague, opinionated, one-sentence section that was sourced only by a blog, and the edit included an edit summary explaining that. Please remember that rollback is not supposed to be used to make unexplained reversions of good-faith edits.

Your revert of my edit

[edit]

Hello Igor, my edit that you reverted was adding a [failed verification] tag, which means that I have checked the present source and have not found the claim in it. Adding such a tag does not require me to 'add a source'.--62.73.72.101 (talk) 21:33, 4 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Please take care reading context before reverting edits

[edit]

It would take an extremely strained and inaccurate reading of the article and its sources to assert that china is a democracy according to liberal democrats.

Please remember that tools like twinkle and rollback are meant to be used with care - a large number of other users have noted that you use these tools before reading their edits in context. 65.38.90.168 (talk) 22:03, 4 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent rollback edit

[edit]

Hi Igor, You reverted my recent edit on a tiny village in Poland. Could you clarify whether you verified the source before doing so? My edit also corrected a spelling mistake, which was undone by your rollback. Additionally, no edit summary was left, which makes it hard to understand your reason for the reversion. Tools like Twinkle and quick rollback rights that you have beed recently granted are generally intended for clear-cut vandalism and obvious errors. Using them without checking sources or content can reintroduce mistakes and remove helpful improvements. Thanks 5.173.164.81 (talk) 08:26, 5 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Improper uses of rollback

[edit]

Hi Igor! Somebody complained to me about your use of rollback to revert good-faith edits without an edit summary, which is against the rollback policy. Looking through your recent use of rollback, I can confirm the following examples of improper use of rollback:

  • Special:Diff/1315183613: You removed a good-faith and positive edit without an edit summary using rollback. In this case, you probably should not have made this edit at all, but if you disagreed with the anonymous user's edit, you should use the undo button with an informative edit summary.
  • Special:Diff/1315098856: You used rollback to revert a good-faith edit (though you did include an edit summary here). This is not as big of an issue because you used the edit summary, but you should still reserve rollback for clear cases of vandalism only.
  • Special:Diff/1315098805: Here again, you removed a good-faith and positive edit without an edit summary using rollback. This is a tricky topic so it is especially careful to use edit summaries and to assume good faith.

In the future, please use rollback ONLY for cases of obvious vandalism. Otherwise, an administrator will have to remove the rollback right from your account. Thanks! Malinaccier (talk) 13:29, 6 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Mont Blanc Picture

[edit]

Hi Igor123121,

I hope you're doing well. I’d like to suggest updating the current image of Mont Blanc. The existing view doesn’t fully capture the peak’s defining feature: its striking whiteness, which is the very reason for its name ("Mont Blanc" translates to "White Mountain").

I’ve found an alternative image that showcases the peak’s iconic whiteness far more vividly than the previous one, perfectly illustrating why it bears this name. This view also represents the most famous and recognizable perspective of Mont Blanc, aligning with how it’s widely perceived.

Would it be possible to replace the current image with this more representative view? I believe it would enhance the visual quality and relevance of the content for everyone.

Thank you for considering my request! Let me know if you’d like me to provide the image or any further details.

Best regards,
