Speedy deletion nomination of PsyTech
[edit]Hello Glb613,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged PsyTech for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Kavdiamanju (talk) 11:59, 13 October 2015 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of PsyTech
[edit]
The article PsyTech has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No evidence that this term is notable.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. PamD 07:28, 14 October 2015 (UTC)
Removal of speedy deletion tag
[edit]In this edit on PsyTech you removed the Speedy Deletion tag which had been placed on the artice you started, without leaving an edit summary. I don't know whether you read the notice on the screen before you deleted it: it says "If this article does not meet the criteria for speedy deletion, or you intend to fix it, please remove this notice, but do not remove this notice from pages that you have created yourself." (emphasised in the original notice). What part of that sentence is unclear to you?
In this case the speedy deletion tag was inappropriate because the tag used applies to people, websites and certain other categories but not neologisms. Even so, you should not have removed it, but should have added a note on the talk page (as explained in the notice on the article).
There is a lot to learn about editing Wikipedia but it is an interesting journey. Please take the time to read notices and learn how to do things here.
I see no evidence that the term is WP:NOTABLE so have proposed it for deletion by the WP:PROD route. PamD 07:36, 14 October 2015 (UTC)
A discussion is taking place as to whether the article PsyTech is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PsyTech until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. PamD 07:38, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
