Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Monaco, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Italian. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hello, I'm Framawiki. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Boucheron seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Thanks, Framawiki (please notify me when you reply) 09:46, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Use of minor edits

[edit]

Information icon Hi French Thutmose III! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Vivek Ramaswamy that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Your recent proD

[edit]

Hello, Just letting you know I deproDed ACME FIlm. As your concern was the presence of a single source, I've added another. Best, -My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 09:06, 8 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I removed your PROD tag on Jennifer Howell. She shared an Emmy and is probably notable just for this alone.

Thanks for helping to keep this place going!

Hi there - Wikipedia relies on reliable sources to verify information, especially about living people. You didn't provide a source for your changes to the Fabien Lemoine article, and I couldn't find one either. If you have a reliable source please let me know and we can change the article. Please let me know if you have any questions. GiantSnowman 18:53, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! Just added references. User: French Thutmose IIIIUser talk:French Thutmose III 22:24, 18 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Fabien Lemoine, you may be blocked from editing.
This source deals with the 2009 Coupe de France final only, it does not verify your claims that Lemoine won the 2019-20 Ligue 2 title. GiantSnowman 15:24, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I just cliked on "undo" to then correct my reference that was indeed a bad one. But I did not have time to change the reference that you re-"undo". Give me 5 minutes, please. Thank you for your help. User:FrenchThutmose III 15:28, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Do not simply click 'undo' and revert my edit when you admit it was correct. You may update the article with the correct source all in one go. GiantSnowman 15:30, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi there. I've reverted your edits to the page of Chevalier d'Éon as I found that the language you used might not been completely neutral (see, WP:NPOV) and they might not have been in the most encyclopedic tone (WP:TONE). If you think I'm mistaken, or you have a question, you can leave a message on my talk page.

I also removed your use of "he/him" pronouns when referring to d'Éon. Due to the lack of consensus regarding which pronouns to use for d'Éon on d'Éon's talk page, the general rule is simply to use no pronouns at all, simply referring to d'Éon by their name. See this discussion as to why this is the case.

Again, if you have any questions, please feel free to leave a message on my talk page. Thanks. LemurLiterature (talk) 00:56, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Thank you for your message.
I just translated the French introduction from the French Wikipedia on the English page, as I found it was a better description of his life and for which reasons he is remembered today.
I could rephrase it in a more encyclopaedic tone - as it was already often checked by other users, I didn't suspect the French page to lack encyclopaedic tone.
Also, as the Chevalier d'Éon was French, I prefer to use the pronouns used in France to describe him. The consensus - in France - has been to categorise him as a man, as he was a man (he). In France, the term widely used has been "éonisme" or "eonism" in English - although this term is unfortunately not used in English. French Thutmose III (talk) 10:34, 15 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I've removed your edits to the page of Simone Biles. The top only needed describe her what identity is. She is an American artistic gymnast now, that's all. We won't be list all about her citizenship in the top. It will be suitable wrote it in the text (early life). This is enough. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave a message on my talk page. Thanks. Stevencocoboy (talk) 06:38, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I don't agree with your argument because it does not make sense. Saying that she is American only is invisibilising her other nationality. Ergo, the phrasing "American-Belizean artistic gymnast representing the United States" makes more sense. Most WP pages present her like this (Spanish, French, Arab), except... the page in English... French Thutmose III (talk) 09:40, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I means that her identity is an American artistic gymnast from start in career life, she never been represented Belize if we wrote American-Belizean artistic gymnast will be strangeness in the top. She has Belize citizenship because her family and all about information should be wrote it in the content, not in the top. The other WP pages present her like this did not means Eng wiki should ne obey as the same this. Otherwise, some WP pages also present her an American artistic gymnast in the top. So we won't obey the other pages to present. Thanks. Stevencocoboy (talk) 07:40, 31 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Information icon Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Isack Hadjar. Thank you. M.Bitton (talk) 11:23, 17 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Sir,
1) I don't know what is controversial.
2) It's not poorly referenced, these sources are highly reliable.
3) The 3 sources say that his father is Algerian and his mother Algerian and Lebanese. I don't know how you can challenge this. French Thutmose III (talk) 11:27, 17 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from Georges de La Tour to another page. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. Sample wording for this is given here. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution must be given retroactively, for example:

NOTE: Content in the edit of 01:25, January 25, 2023 was translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution.

Retroactive attribution may be added using a dummy edit; see Repairing insufficient attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively, even if it was a long time ago. You can read more about author attribution and the reasons for it at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. MCE89 (talk) 11:52, 26 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at Maxime Estève, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you.
