Hello Formzed. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Transfix (band)".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Transfix (band)}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, click "Save page", and an administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 19:56, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources.
The comment the reviewer left was:
YouTube and discogs are (generally) not considered reliable sources. Please also note that external links are not allowed within the main body section of a draft/article (however are within an 'external links' style section).
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.

Your submission at Articles for creation: Trans FX (band) (August 10)

[edit]
Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed! Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Jmcgnh was:
This submission's references do not adequately show the subject's notability. Wikipedia requires significant coverage (not just mere mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject—see the guidelines on the notability of music-related topics, the golden rule and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue. Please improve the submission's referencing (see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners and Help:Introduction to referencing/1), so that the information is verifiable, and there is clear evidence of why the subject is notable and worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia. If additional reliable sources cannot be found for the subject, then it may not be suitable for Wikipedia at this time.
The comment the reviewer left was:
I'm reviewing this submission with the notability criteria for music in mind.

As I see it, the press coverage of this band is somewhat below the normal standard for notability. We can't use: interviews, brief mentions, announcements, sales listings or press releases for purposes of notability. Perhaps more in-depth coverage exists, but the current references don't seem to be sufficient. The Kelton Sears Seattle Weekly review is possibly the highest profile, but it's an extremely short bit of coverage.

As best I can tell, the band has one release with K records, the only label here to meet WP:NMUSIC#C5. But C5 requires two or more releases with such a label.

I don't see that any of the other criteria can rescue the situation.

With respect to verifiability, there are large chunks of prose with no apparent sourcing. In the places where there do seem to be inline refs, checking them seemed, as often as not, to get to something that identifies the same subject as being written about, but not to supply the apparent wealth of detail that has been written. One example: the Jes Skolnik coverage of the music video for Into the Blu. Where is this information coming from? There are many sources listed that could be general references for this information, but many of them would fall to challenges as not reliable sources.

=

The overall tone of the article seems more appropriate to a fan-blog writeup than an encyclopedia article. I don't see it as quite so blatantly promotional that it would be immediately subject to deletion, but there would be a long way to go to get to WP:NPOV.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit when they have been resolved.
