[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. However, I noticed that your username (Fagsmoker) may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because I am concerned by the connotation most people would have by the word "fag," even though it is slang for cigarette.. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account to use for editing. Thank you. Signalizing (talk) 21:03, 21 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think people should have enough common sense to know my username only means I like smoking Cigarettes. 05:46, 25 December 2011 (UTC) Fagsmoker (talk)

Common sense is not as common as you'd think. And "fag" meaning "cigarette" is very uncommon in American English, so you're likely to encounter a lot of people to whom your name means only "one who beats homosexuals". That said, I'm not going to block you over the name. I just strongly encourage you to change your username. Danger High voltage! 00:27, 3 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't know that, I am willing to change my username but only if I have to. 22:39, 3 January 2012 (UTC) Fagsmoker (talk)

Is there anywhere where I can get the opinion of multiple people. 22:44, 3 January 2012 (UTC) Fagsmoker (talk)

Well, if you really want to you could open up a request for comment on your own username here, but I think that's probably more work than it's worth. If you're attached to the name, keep it. The worst that can happen formally is that someone takes issue, opens a request for comment and you're forced to change it; it might not happen. Does that answer your question? Sorry about your meeting the bureaucracy so soon in your wiki-career. Danger High voltage! 00:03, 4 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on List of video games censored by Nintendo of America, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you.
