Ship disruptor is back

[edit]

Our friend from this block found a new path to block evasion. Caught it on a cursory sweep. See here. I think blocks on the individual temps would be preferable on this occasion, partially so I can refer back to this case a little easier if I see fit to try and address this in a more long-term fashion down the road through a request for an edit filter. @Pbritti Thanks! I've blocked the most recent TA with a note pointing back to the previous set of TAs. EvergreenFir (talk) 05:59, 17 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

[edit]

Hi EvergreenFir, I saw on Niral Bhatt talk page the warning you added in October 2025,[1], this editor has continued to edit war and add sources that don't match what he's writing, On May 21 2026, I came across all this information changed on the Instagram page and the source he provided did not say any of this, I reverted it,[2] and then left him a warning on his talk page. [3] He then renamed his account to Kashmiri Pandit and cleared all his warnings on May 22, 2026.[4] He's made another account Farooq Shah Industani and today is changing Instagram's launch date from 2010 to 2009.[5] Please help Cena332 (talk) 19:20, 21 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. PaulRKil is basically doing what is state in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Bring_me_a_rock - I gave academic sources, I cited the first people who coined the term "superpower" - William T.R. Fox and Nicholas Spykman. There is no consensus on China being a superpower in the academia, it is pretty split. Basically PaulRKil for some reason is 100% bent on China being called a superpower in this article. I might be wrong, but I don't think it is wiki's job to publish opinions of editors regarding political issues. My edition basically removes parts that mention definitive statements such as "China is widely labeled a superpower as of 2020s" (which is not true btw), and just leaves the historical fact that the US became the sole superpower after 1991 - regardless of what happened later because what happened later is up to debate. It also adds widely cited categories of superpowers - economic, military, cultural and political. These are widely used not only in news/media but also in academia to acknowledge aspects such as economic size or influence or cultural and military influence for particular countries, the most often used terms are economic and military superpower, the first one was first used for Japan in the 1980s and now is widely used for China for example. I've provided relevant citations in my edit as well. Nevertheless my point is that wiki should focus on facts supported by academic articles and not on opinions of individual editors - if it was up to me I'd definitely state that the US is the only superpower but that is my opinion as is Paul's opinion that China is one as well. If we stick to the facts we shouldn't debating contemporary politics. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sam Wood Rp (talkcontribs) 19:16, 23 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
