Talk page ordering

[edit]

I've addressed your concerns about the headquarters of the Anti-War Committee of Russia, and I asked TheVoltigeur to explain what the source was since the editor added that claim. However, the newest topic goes at the bottom like all talk pages I have seen (see also: WP:TALKNEW). Just click the "+" sign at the top of the page to add a new topic, and let the discussion tools do the heavy layout work for you. --Minoa (talk) 05:18, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Great, then let's wait for the response. Euwed (talk) 07:52, 8 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Flags

[edit]

I think the use of flags in Russian undesirable organizations law may be unnecessary per MOS:FLAGCRUFT. What do you think? --Minoa (talk) 16:40, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The primary reason for using country with flag (e.g. USA) instead of plain country name (e.g. United States) is that country with flag is provided by the universal wiki-template, available across many different wiki-versions, therefore it's much easier to maintain the article in different languages — no need to adjust the country name for every single local version of the wiki-article, e.g.:
Instead of all these variants:
 • United States
 • Vereinigten Staaten
 • Spojené státy
 • Соединенные Штаты Америки
 • Сполучені Штати Америки
Just universal single template USA, which works perfectly on most of the national wiki-versions.
Besides that, the German version of this article has automatically switched to the country with flag mode, and to keep the article's experience consistent across Wikipedia, I decided to expand the usage of this template to the rest of versions of this wiki-article. ArbCom 2025 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2025 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add NoACEMM to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:00, 18 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
