Two Wikicurious events in North Carolina this week
[edit]There are two Wikicurious events in North Carolina this coming week! These are great opportunities to meet other Wikipedians, help new editors get started, and learn more about subjects you might not be familiar with.
Wikicurious: WNC Women's History Month Edit-a-thon will be a hybrid event held at the Pack Memorial Library in Asheville on Tuesday, March 24, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This event is focused on amplifying the stories and figures of under-represented Appalachian artists, writers, and other creators, particularly women in honor of Women's History Month, as well as people of color, LGBTQ individuals, and other disenfranchised communities. Get the full details and register on the meetup page.
Wikicurious: Country Music's Mythology will be an in-person event held at the historic Love House in downtown Chapel Hill on Wednesday, March 25, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. At the event, you'll have a chance to improve Wikipedia's coverage of emerging and underrepresented country musicians, see an exhibit of photos and fan culture from the Grand Ole Opry, and hear from special guest Rissi Palmer, singer-songwriter and host of the podcast Color Me Country. Get the full details and register on the meetup page.
You received this message because you are on the global message delivery list of the North Carolina Wikipedians, probably because you signed up on our user page or because you attended one of our events. If you would like to remove yourself, please e-mail me or remove your username from our global message delivery list.
Hope to see you at some of these events! -- Gaurav (talk) 08:47, 21 March 2026 (UTC)
