Category:Cultural depictions of Cher

Before adding a category to an article, as you did to The Player (1992 film), please make sure that the subject of the article really belongs in the category that you specified according to Wikipedia's categorization guidelines. The category being added must already exist, and must be supported by the article's verifiable content. Categories may be removed if they are deemed incorrect for the subject matter. Thank you. @Smjg: Fair question, and another variation of the same issue I just dealt with on The Player (1992 film). The fact that an article doesn't mention something doesn't necessarily invalidate the categorization. Before assuming an error, it would be fair to check whether the information is actually true and simply missing. One could argue that's putting the burden of proof on the other side, but for a check as trivial as searching the Cher article for "Tangled", it's just common sense. The article has now been revised with the information properly added (Cher as the inspiration for the visual design of one of the film's main characters, Mother Gothel, as stated by director Byron Howard) and the category restored.
