Merge banners?

Is there any chance you could develop the code for your bot so that it can merge multiple instances of the same banner, or remove redundant or duplicate banners?

The bot will indeed merge templates, but the parameters of the two templates must not conflict at all. In the first example, both were |1=, so the bot did not merge them. In the second example, the parameter value of |importance= differed in case, so the bot determined there was a conflict and did not merge them either.
