Regarding {{Codett lang= }}

[edit]

Regarding your edit https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Most_vexing_parse&diff=next&oldid=1327904899 .

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Template:Codett&oldid=1316583455 refers to https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Template:Code&oldid=1273749409 which says "lang=" is "The programming language of the source code." Since here we're talking about Clang's output, I wouldn't count this as source code, which is why I chose "lang=text". Are there any Wikipedia style guidelines regarding the choice of "lang=" or does the edit reflect your personal preference? Jonathan Frech (talk) 02:29, 22 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

You specified the |lang= or |2= parameter as txt instead of text, which caused an error in the Pygments library. (You can see this by enabling the display of hidden categories in Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-rendering.) You must specify the name exactly as it appears in the “Short name(s)” column at https://pygments.org/languages/. Cedar101 (talk) 07:04, 22 February 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Comparison of mobile operating systems, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A URL error. References show this error when one of the URL-containing parameters contains an invalid URL. Please edit the article to add the valid URL. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 01:56, 5 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]
