= About Me =
'''Wing_Commander_MAX' (or simply '''WC_MAX') is my online name, which I have used for many years across different platforms.
People sometimes ask why I chose the name "Wing Commander" even though I have never served in the armed forces. The name comes from my long-standing admiration for military aviation and the history of the Indian Air Force. The rank ''Wing Commander'' has become especially memorable in India because several notable officers holding that rank have been part of important moments in the country's aviation history, from space missions to significant air operations. That fascination inspired my online identity.
I have been using the Internet for more than 14 years. My first experience with Google happened almost by accident, and since childhood I have been deeply interested in defence technology. Aircraft, radar systems, missiles, electronics, military engineering, and geopolitics have always fascinated me. For me, defense technology cannot be separated from history, engineering, and international relations.
Alongside that interest, I developed a passion for computers, electronics, and hardware at a young age. That curiosity eventually led me to study engineering. I enjoy building websites, writing software, creating small libraries, and experimenting with new technologies. Open-source software is one of my biggest interests. While I believe commercial software has an important place, I also believe there should always be free and open alternatives that are accessible to everyone.
I enjoy writing articles, especially about computing, electronics, defence technology, and geopolitics. A few years ago I managed several small websites dedicated to these topics. Although most of those projects have since been discontinued, I continue to maintain my personal website and hope to expand it in the future.
I also participate in online communities related to defence, technology, and open-source software on platforms such as X, Discord, Reddit, and others. I enjoy discussing technology, learning from knowledgeable people, and helping correct misinformation by sharing reliable sources whenever possible.
As a Wikipedia editor, I mainly enjoy improving articles, expanding technical content, and contributing to subjects related to computing, engineering, defence, and technology.
