Wayne Deakin is an Australian born, British practitioner of graphic design, corporate identity and branding who is Global Creative Principal for Wolff Olins. Deakin is well known as a leading international expert within the marketing and advertising industry and has advised many of the world's leading brands on identity, branding, communication and digital and innovation in business including Nike, Starbucks, Spotify, BBC, Apple, GSK, LG and many others across the world. He is a active speaker and judge for many international awards and festivals, and also writes a regular feature piece for Creative Review and number of publications including Campaign, The Drum, Branding Magazine, Branding In Asia, B&T, Little Black Book, and others.

He is a member of Design and Art Direction (D&AD), The One Club, International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, and sits on the creative council for The British Interactive Media Association (BIMA)

Deakin was born in Caloundra, Queensland and educated in Brisbane. After studying at Queensland College of Art and Queensland University of Technology he began a career into advertising in Brisbane working for George Patterson Bates firm and later with their Sydney office. His first big job was as Executive Creative Director for Engine Group, then later as Global Executive Creative Director for AKQA. Deakin then spent time working in Switzerland and Germany with Jung Von Matt before returning to head up the design for Huge, part of IPG group.

Deakin has been awarded by industry in major awards across the globe.

He is asked to speak at international festivals and conferences in the UK, USA, China, South Korea, Australia and Europe on the subjects of Brand, Design, Creativity and Marketing.
