Hi, I am Niichneumon, or Niich. I am a biology student with an evolutionary biology emphasis, and plans to minor in ecology next year, as of 2026. I am from Istanbul, my birthplace is Muğla, and I am currently situated somewhere else in Northern Turkey, in the Pontus region.

Evolutionary biology, taxonomy, palaeobiology, and ecology are particular special interests of mine, though I am interested in all biology and natural sciences more broadly. I am a palaeoartist, also a writer and a worldbuilder as a hobby. However, I am unfortunately hindered from creating artwork lately, due to being confined to a small dormitory with seven roommates, alongside executive dysfunction and/or burnout. Before university, I volunteered in animal welfare and rescue, and I have also kept invertebrates, mostly ants, rescued critters, and harmful introduced species instead of euthanising them.
