Hi there! I have formal training in Cognitive science, Psychology and Computer science but recently started working towards a career as a librarian. I'm currently pursuing my Master's in Public History. I'm new to editing on Wikipedia but am excited to contribute to community knowledge (and not just sit on things I know and have access to, like a dragon hoarding gold).
I work for the Lowcountry Digital Library at the College of Charleston and I will add information and links to articles about South Carolina, the Lowcountry, and Charleston, sometimes citing the primary sources hosted in our library. However, I will not write/edit articles about any institution or people that are related to/about my workplace. I am not compensated for anything I write on Wikipedia.
That being said, I hope to create articles on lesser-known figures in local South Carolina/Southeastern history, using networks of knowledge to enhance community knowledge and maybe help people learn more about the cool things people have done. You should generally see me poking around articles relating to South Carolina history, Black history, and queer/LGBTQ+ history.
You can also find me poking around OpenStreetMap or completing transcriptions for Library of Congress. Other hobbies include playing video games, web development, and drawing.
