New to editing and creating on Wikipedia.
What I do:
- Creats Wikipedia pages for villages in the Therapnes municipal unit of Greece.
- Adds wikilinks between pages and revises tone regularly through suggested edits.
How I started:
I was doing genealogical/heritage research on my family. As I was reviewing images of records, under the "birth place" section, there was the words "Zoupena Laco". In the record transcription, the place of birth was listed as Agioi Anargyroi. What ensued was a long period of research, bewilderment, and finally delight. I scoured the depths of the internet to learn what Zoupena Laco was, why the record transcription said Agioi Anargyroi, and what it meant. If there was a Wikipedia page for the village, I could have saved hours and hours. I wanted for anyone to easily learn about Agioi Anargyroi, so I created a Wikipedia page for it.
While creating the Wikipedia page, I learned even more that I didn't uncover in my previous research. As I've researched Agioi Anargyroi, there are many names, places, and phrases that keep coming up. One of them was: Gkoritsa or Goritsa. I more I research and learned about Agioi Anargyroi, the more I learned about it's "sister village". I then created a Wikipedia for Gkoritsa. I intend to keep creating Wikipedia pages for villages in the Therapnes municipal unit and keep updating all the ones I create.
Why AgiiNomad Username?
One of the name variants of Agioi Anargyroi is Agii Anargiri. Figuratively, you could I'm a wanderer or nomad of Agii Anargiri and it's neighboring villages. Therefore AgiiNomad!
