This template is not blank; it adds a little icon in the top-right corner.
Depending on the input, this template will use {{5 Year topicon}} (
), {{10 Year topicon}} (
), {{15 Year topicon}} (
), {{20 Year topicon}} (
), or {{25 Year topicon}} (
). It also adds your username to Category:Members of the Five Year Society of Wikipedia editors, Category:Members of the Ten Year Society of Wikipedia editors, Category:Members of the Fifteen Year Society of Wikipedia editors, Category:Members of the Twenty Year Society of Wikipedia editors, or Category:Members of the Twenty-Five Year Society of Wikipedia editors.
Usage
[edit]Place {{Year topicon|Registration time}} anywhere on your user page.
- Parameters
1– Registration time. You can find this at Special:Preferences (e.g.Registration time: 16:25, 16 August 2006
) and copy and paste the date/time string directly, or you can enter it in any format accepted by PHP's strtotime() function (see mw:Help:Extension:ParserFunctions#.23time for more information).height– Uses a different height for the images. Default is 20.nocat– Specifying "yes" disables the automatically added category (default = no).sortkey– If you use more than one top icon, you can specify this one's sort order within the group using a numerical argument to the sortkey parameter.width– Uses a different width for the images. Default is 24.alticon– Specifying "yes" uses an alternative icon, where available.
|width= and |height= are restrictive, meaning when one parameter is not set explicitly, the default acts as a maximum, even if the other parameter is set higher. To increase the overall size, both must be specified.
