Hello, I will be reviewing this article as part of the February GAN backlog drive. It may take me a few days to leave my comments. Kimikel (talk) 00:19, 24 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Apollo468: I have left comments below on the article's prose. Once these are addressed, I'll move on to the other GA criteria. Please let me know if you have any questions are concerns on my suggestions; thank you. Kimikel (talk) 23:49, 27 February 2026 (UTC)
- @Kimikel: Hi, I have addressed all those concerns. Thanks, -- • Apollo468• 20:38, 1 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Apollo468: Hello, apologies for the delay. I continued the review but when I got to the source spot check, I became concerned by the amount of issues that I was seeing. Of the 4 citations I checked, 3 had issues, 2 of which were incongruencies between the source material and the article. This is a pretty big deal, especially since the majority of the sources are inaccessible to me; that makes me uncertain if there are sourcing issues throughout the entire article, thus making the whole thing unverifiable. Therefore, here's a course of action that I would suggest: 1. Fix the sourcing issues that I mentioned below; 2. Re-verify your sourcing throughout the article (assuming you still have access to the sources that you used; 3. notify me when you are finished, and I will do another spot check, then finish the review. Realistically, there's no need to rush this; if it will take you a while to reverify the article, just let me know and I'll wait. If not, that's okay too. I apologize for creating extra work for you but I want to make sure this article meets GA criteria without any room for doubt. Thank you for your work so far. If you have any problems with this, please let me know. Kimikel (talk) 00:38, 4 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Kimikel: Of course, thank you for the response. I went ahead and fixed the sourcing issue mentioned, and I am in the process of checking all the sources since it's been quite a few months, as you can see through the edits. I still have access to the sources to do so, such as Arcanum since my access expires in June through the Wikipedia Library. I know a lot of the sources rely on Arcanum, which is obviously paywalled, and although I can't provide a full screenshot for a spotcheck, I believe I could provide a short sentence or two. CEEOL is also accessible through Wikipedia Library. I'll probably be finished rechecking all the sourcing tomorrow night, and I'll make sure to notify you when that is done. -- • Apollo468• 23:14, 6 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Kimikel: I'm pretty sure I'm doing checking everything, sorry it took a little while. Ping me if you need access to any of the sources. -- • Apollo468• 01:05, 10 March 2026 (UTC)
- @Apollo468: Thank you for all of the work on this one. I've done a second spot check and everything came back positively. I also ran through the article and cleaned up the prose slightly. As such, I believe this review's ready to be closed. Thank you for being highly receptive to my feedback and congratulations on this good article. Kimikel (talk) 00:31, 11 March 2026 (UTC)

Well-written

Early pastoral ministry

- which parish offices stated in reports was clearly distanced from the church and did not have any loyalty to it and that it was more-so focused on its leader, Scharführer. break this into a separate sentence to break up that long run on. Verifiable
[edit]- It's a minor thing, but some of the references list (in German) or (in Romanian) while others, also in German/Romanian, do not. For consistency's sake, I would add the foreign language for every source.
Source spot check
[edit]- 68: Not verified. This source does not talk about Glondys disciplining Staedel nor Schmidt overriding church law.
- 80: Verified, although it doesn't mention him being an architect until page 153, so the citation should list pages 152–153
- 2: not verified: the fact that Bielsko was part of the Duchy of Teschen also must be cited
- 32: not verified. I do not speak German, so forgive me, but Google Translate says the following: "When Glondys was called to the vacant pastorate in Kronstadt in 1922 and continued his work as a preacher and teacher at the famous Black Church and the Honterus Gymnasium, the Czernowitz congregation, which numbered about 5,000 members among 100,000 inhabitants, elected Dr. Wilhelm Arz, a native of Bistritz experienced in all matters of education, as their city pastor." However, the article says instead that Glondys succeeded Arz, and that Glondys was the one experienced in education. Correct me if my translator is wrong, but that's directly opposed to what the source says.
