Occupation

[edit]

At one time, he was a real estate investor. That's not his current occupation. Currently, he is not practicing real estate speculation, he is occupying his time as a Convicted Felon, that is his current occupation. 207.55.8.10 (talk) 19:26, 8 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]

President Donald Trump has granted a full and unconditional pardon to reality TV stars Todd and Julie Chrisley, known for their show "Chrisley Knows Best." The couple had been serving prison sentences following their 2022 convictions for bank fraud and tax evasion, involving over $30 million in fraudulent loans and hidden income

The diligent work that goes into curating and editing content for your publication. I am writing to respectfully advocate for the retention and expansion of the detailed coverage concerning Todd Chrisley's legal proceedings, including his pre-incarceration activities, sentencing, and subsequent presidential pardon. The broader implications of this story and the value it brings to public discourse. Preserving and potentially expanding this coverage aligns with the journalistic commitment to transparency and the public's right to be informed about matters that resonate beyond the headlines.

The narrative of Todd and Julie Chrisley transcends mere celebrity news; it encapsulates critical themes of justice, accountability, and the influence of political decisions on legal outcomes. Their case offers a unique lens through which readers can examine the complexities of the legal system and the ramifications of high-profile pardons.

On May 27, 2025, President Donald Trump told the Chrisleys’ adult children during a publicly released phone call that he intended to grant full presidential pardons to both Todd and Julie Chrisley, adding that he hoped to complete the paperwork within 24 hours. Given the public interest and the case's complexity, it's imperative to expand this section to provide a thorough and balanced account. Comprehensive coverage ensures that readers receive accurate information and maintains Wikipedia's standard for neutrality and completeness. I urge editors to enhance this article, reflecting the full scope of events and their significance.

There is zero reason to believe Trump's pardons were based on the merit of their cases. There is clear and credible evidence that they did commit both fraud and tax-evasion and on a very large scale. Full Stop. I have no objection to, and in fact because of their pardon's would be interested in seeing more about both the prosecutions evidence and claims and their defense(s). I think it's unfortunate that the coverage here seems to be more about mood affiliation than justice.~2025-31506-44 (talk) 18:24, 21 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Todd Chrisley (pre jail) and release

[edit]

Todd Chrisley, reality TV star of Chrisley Knows Best, was sentenced to 12 years in prison in November 2022 for a multimillion-dollar bank fraud and tax evasion scheme, alongside his wife, Julie Chrisley, who received 7 years. The couple was convicted of defrauding Atlanta-area banks out of over $30 million by submitting fake documents, like fabricated bank statements and audit reports, to secure loans for luxury cars, designer clothes, and real estate. They also hid income from the IRS through a shell company, dodging taxes for years. By 2018, they owed Georgia nearly $800,000 in tax liens. Julie faced additional charges of wire fraud and obstruction of justice, notably for sending falsified documents to a California property owner in 2014 to rent a home, then skipping rent payments. Their accountant, Peter Tarantino, was also convicted, receiving three years.

Todd’s serving his sentence at Federal Prison Camp Pensacola, Florida, with a release date of April 7, 2032, after a reduction from his original term. Julie’s at Federal Medical Center Lexington, Kentucky, with a release date of January 8, 2028. Both face 16 months of probation post-release. The couple’s lavish lifestyle, showcased on their show, was built on what prosecutors called a “lie,” branding them “career swindlers.” Recent drama includes Todd’s firing from a prison chapel job for being too chatty and allegations of a guard removing his MAGA sticker. Their daughter, Savannah, claims their prosecution was politically motivated and is seeking a presidential pardon from Donald Trump. Julie’s appeal for a reduced sentence was denied in September 2024, and her probation was extended from three to five years, adding to the family’s ongoing legal saga.In their sentencing memo, prosecutors said the Chrisleys had engaged in a "fifteen-year fraud spree."

"After they defrauded community banks out of tens of millions of dollars, they hid millions of dollars from the IRS, all while going on television to boast about how much they spend on designer clothes," the memo read. "And when they learned that they were under investigation for those crimes, they involved their own family members and friends to obstruct justice."

Birthday

[edit]

I am not sure where the confusion around the birthday has come into play. Everything I can find says 1969. See

Is there anyone against changing to only 1969 Dahawk04 (talk) 02:26, 13 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

For what it’s worth, in The Chrisleys: Back to Reality (Season 1, Episode 7), Todd Chrisley said he was 57 years old, which would mean he was born in 1968. ▪◦▪≡SiREX≡Talk 23:01, 17 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
