A particular anonymous user has felt the need twice in the past week to add "far-left American politician" to the first sentence of this page. It was removed once, then the same IP added it again about a day later, and it has since been removed again. Seems like someone with too much time on their hands is trolling the page. Regardless, this type of edit is inflammatory and overly politicized. They'll probably try this again, so keep an eye out for this and other bad faith edits. 2601:1C0:6480:4ED0:BCEA:6D26:CC93:B011 (talk) 13:48, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @Jon698 - I've undid your deletion of my additions to this page. I'd disagree with your assessment that the legislation I've added isn't "notable". Obviously, this is a subjective assessment but as far as I understand, this was one of the bigger pieces of legislation to "pass" during her term and is a priority for her administration going forward, by her own words. If anything, I think it's notable in US politics when something is passed as an emergency measure and then garners enough support that it makes it to ballot. I believe my edits are sourced from credible sources that fulfill Wiki's policies, however, I'm open to healthy objections. As you know, edit warring is banned by Wiki. Thanks Hlmc4life52 (talk) 16:30, 1 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
An easy rule of thumb about notability of legislation. You should not be heavily reliant on government websites for sourcing. Jon698 (talk) 16:37, 1 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
were the 4 sources I provided not enough? I assume you don't follow Oregon politics very closely, as this was one of the most hotly discussed pieces of legislation over the last 12 months. More sources below. Please do not undo my edits without responding on the talk page first so that we can reach community consensus, per Wiki policy.
@Hlmc4life52 You listed a bunch of sources that you did not use in the article. If you want to prove the notability of this bill then you HAVE to use the sources. Jon698 (talk) 16:47, 1 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I did use sources from OPB and KATU in my original edits, but you're correct I didn't use all of the above sources. I think we are kind of splitting hairs here, but if you think adding Axios and Oregon Live in addition somehow makes these edits more viable, then I can do so. Wiki requires only single credible sources, but the more the merrier! Hlmc4life52 (talk) 16:54, 1 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
