Subject's birth name
[edit source]From [1] I read the subject's birth name is 'Keith' but 99.58.96.12 continues to change it to "Lakeith". I have no connection to the article, just patrolling changes. I hope another editor can put up a good reference and clear up the issue with name. Ifnord (talk) 04:18, 8 November 2018 (UTC)
- @Ifnord: Websites like those get that info from Wikipedia itself, although Wikipedia can be a bit inaccurate at times, I was fixing Tay Keith's real name with proper sources like Tidal and BMI that 99% of the time have the correct name of the person. Hope this answers your concern. 99.58.96.12 (talk) 04:30, 8 November 2018 (UTC)
- It may be better to just remove completely without better references. --Ronz (talk) 16:37, 8 November 2018 (UTC)

He died?
[edit source]Yes. He was found deceased in his apartment in Nashville.
Theres rumors saying he died ~2026-35575-40 (talk) 21:27, 18 June 2026 (UTC)
- I was just looking into this too. If/when there will be coverage in WP:RELIABLE sources, we can amend the article to reflect these rumors. Until then, keep the article as is. nameless7357 in solidarity 21:36, 18 June 2026 (UTC)

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want made. Please detail the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Pyrrhic victor (what did I do) In Solidarity 22:26, 18 June 2026 (UTC)- I realize this request has been answered, but I want to remind you to please stay WP:CIVIL. The death was just announced. Describing Keith's death as "untimely"
[edit source]Pinging @~2026-35571-76: (who added the phrase) and @Cheromaniii: (who recently reinstated it). I have issues with the use of the term "untimely" in WP:WIKIVOICE. To me, it comes across as MOS:EDITORIALizing as it adds a subjective, emotional description to what should be an objective encyclopedic entry. I realize that I am more of a newcomer to Wikipedia in comparison to Cheromaniii, but to me this seems the correct way to analyze things. If you disagree, let me know below. nameless7357 in solidarity 03:06, 21 June 2026 (UTC)
- I see, you can replace untimely with something like early or sudden, or remove the word entirely. Cheromaniii (talk) 03:10, 21 June 2026 (UTC)
