  • suggest to replace "referred" (which is technical jargon) with "assigned"

  • In 2002, Walker and Chiappe worked together on a study which – I think that "worked together on a study which" is unnecessary at best (just write "suggested that" instead). I think it is probably wrong, as this is a book chapter, and such books often take some years to get published, so they are unlikely to have worked on that particular study the same year the book came out.
Changed to that. Olmagon (talk · contribs) 01:06, 18 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • cf. Martinavis – the "cf." should not be in italics.

  • Based on its large size and strong talons, Soroavisaurus was likely a carnivore capable of perching. It has been hypothesized to occupy a similar ecological niche to extant birds of prey, noticing prey from afar on the plains or in water.[9] – Do we have a better source than the field guide book? Is that field guide self-published? I mean, this is a quite speculative statement, and does require a strong source and author contribution, and should come from a peer-reviewed paper or at least from an established expert of the field.
Well the bird of prey thing and being a carnivore is also supported in that other reference used in that section about avisaurids in general. The thing about "noticing prey from afar" is a bit more speculative though, that line was already there before I started editing the page. I suggest to remove the "noticing prey from afar", and cite the other reference in addition. If done, I can promote. --Jens Lallensack (talk) 14:11, 18 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
