[edit]An in-depth article about the history of early Chinatown tongs and current street gangs would be a good supplement.
I'd write it up since I have some of the sources handy, but I've thought about it several times. It isn't in my desire to have the hard work done only to see it butchered and edited like crazy by people who don't know what they're doing.
So, any takers?

My plan for revision
[edit]Hello everyone, I plan to expand on this article by adding a new subsection titled "Urban Renewal" to explore how religion plays a key role in the resistance and resilience of Chinatown communities who are affect by the redevelopment projects across the U.S. I intend to add approximately 200 words discussing how religious organizations such as churches and temples become central spaces for social mobilization, negotiation, and cultural preservation during these redevelopment efforts. It will include the case of the Holy Redeemer church in Philadelphia as well as examples form New York City and Vancouver to show how religious institutions adapted to urban renewal. I plan on adding sources from a professor in NYU, a locally focused piece on Philadelphia, a report that highlights how religion and community works together in shaping chinatown. Additionally, I would like to add articles that speak on urban renewal and the housing act of 1949, images, and missing citations. Intotheunknownn (talk) 16:35, 7 November 2025 (UTC)
