Skyblock's ownership status

[edit]

There seem to be an argument on whether or not Noobcrew's ownership can be verified or not. Use this thread to argue about it. Dabmasterars (talk/contribs) 08:24, 30 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I find this edit EXTREMELY telling: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Skyblock&diff=prev&oldid=1329831919
however, dab, the url you add is also extremely suspect, being thread number 12345, but it could be simple coincidence.
Google search of the phrase you added, led me to google cached copies 2 illegal copies of minecraft pdf's of ebooks, being illegally shared by an accidentally open directory of a university, neither of which when obtained through an online library had the text... ~2026-29503-96 (talk) 12:55, 17 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the info. I will look into Wordcuh and his potential conflict of interest. Dabmasterars [RU/COM] (talk/contribs) 14:52, 17 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest

[edit]

As was pointed out by ~2026-29503-96 (talk), Wordcuh appears to have an undisclosed connection to the creator(s) of Skyblock, and their edits need to be checked. When commenting here, please keep in mind Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to handle conflicts of interest and WP:OUTING, and do not reveal the identity of other editors. EvenTwist41 (talk) 15:55, 17 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

The same person also provided (Redacted) as proof, showing a post on (Redacted). I have managed to find (Redacted), and it appears to be legit. I feel like this is a good proof that (Redacted).
P.S. This isn't outing, the information is public. Dabmasterars [RU/COM] (talk/contribs) 16:45, 17 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@Dabmasterars: You should probably actually read WP:OUTING, because unless you can link to where they have disclosed that connection on Wikipedia, it is considered outing. stwalkerster (talk) 21:40, 18 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@Stwalkerster I'm not disclosing any connection, I'm literally just assuming based on evidence, which is why this convo even exists. If I say that your real name may be John Doe, even though it's a purposefully generic name and is overwhelmingly likely to be false, would you consider that outing too? Dabmasterars [RU/COM] (talk/contribs) 05:23, 19 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
@Dabmasterars: assuming based on evidence is not the problem (I have also seen it and agree that there is an apparent COI), the problem is posting that evidence publicly on Wikipedia (and yes, this applies even if said evidence is technically already "public" elsewhere, you're still not allowed to point to it and spread it further unless the person it concerns has already voluntarily posted it on Wikipedia). Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to handle conflicts of interest explains what should be done instead. WP:OUTING does not require the information to be 100% certain and in fact explicitly applies whether such information is accurate or not. I also don't see how your example of clearly fake information is comparable to this situation which you yourself said appears to be legit and is a good proof. I thought I've already removed all the improper additions.  Nixinova  T ⁄ C  04:49, 19 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Repetitive addition of maintenance templates with incorrect information.

Undoing removal of sourced creator attribution. The references cited appear credible, and any concerns regarding wording or neutrality should be addressed through discussion and neutral phrasing adjustments rather than complete removal. ArnoldSmithsfield55 (talk) 22:30, 19 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
