How To Update Page To Remove Tie To CEO's Former Company?
[edit]Hello! I am trying to update this page. The CEO, Dani Golan, formally founded a storage company, called Kaminario. Silk is a brand new cloud company with no ties to Kaminario (see press release announcing the launch of Silk: https://silk.us/press-releases/silk-launches-to-revolutionize-data-performance-in-the-cloud/). A former (lazy) employee turned the Kaminario page into a Silk one to save time in building a new page. How can I update this page now? We are not Kaminario and should have never been tied to it. Thank you! Jmpike1116 (talk) 20:33, 31 July 2025 (UTC)
- Wikipedia must go by what is reported in reliable sources, which indicate the company was founded in 2008 under a different name, rather than press releases. –Skywatcher68 (talk) 12:58, 1 August 2025 (UTC)
- Besides, a previous press release indicates a rebranding, not an entirely new company, so which are we supposed to believe? –Skywatcher68 (talk) 13:32, 1 August 2025 (UTC)
