Merger with 2023 MGM IT attack
[edit]Since these articles cover the same thing, time for a merger? InvadingInvader (userpage, talk) 18:41, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
- My initial thought was "I'm OK with this", but upon reflection I think we should let this affair develop. And too, I need to check the articles on hacker gangs vis-à-vis their exploits to see where the balance lies. kencf0618 (talk) 19:27, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
Don't merge – I agree with kencf0618, we should we should let this play out and understand which article should be the main article Zr2d2 (talk) 22:13, 14 September 2023 (UTC)- Merge – we've waited long enough Zr2d2 (talk) 02:13, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
- Support. Nearly a week later and events really haven't developed further. Article does not substantiate why these hacks in particular were noteworthy and remains a stub. DarkSide830 (talk) 19:07, 17 September 2023 (UTC)
Include Peter Stokes under "Arrests"
[edit]I am proposing an update to the "Arrests" section based on recent international reporting (Eesti Ekspress, Chicago Tribune) confirming the April 10, 2026 arrest of a 19-year-old Scattered Spider affiliate Peter Stokes known as "Bouquet" in Helsinki. This addition is highly relevant as it corroborates the group's established TTPs (help desk vishing, MFA fatigue) and demographic (starting at age 16, communicating via encrypted chats during school hours). The suspect was found with 2TB hard drives and has been linked to a major May 2025 luxury retail breach. Citations have been properly formatted to include the primary investigative reporting.
