Not a manufacturer

[edit]

Cupra is not a subsidiary, as this article claims, but rather a brand of SEAT. They (SEAT) are the ones that produce Cupra-branded cars, SEAT dealerships sell cars under both brands, the current CEO of SEAT oversees both brands, and even at the bottom of Cupra's regional websites the copyright holder is SEAT. There is nothing that says Cupra is a manufacturer in its own right. Additionally there is no company abbreviation for "S.A.U". Inpops (talk) 17:41, 2 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

SEAT Cupra SAU is only a company that manages the intellectual property rights to the brand (https://web.archive.org/web/20250125160942/https://www.cupraofficial.com/legal-note), but the cars are produced by SEAT Inpops (talk) 16:35, 5 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
