- Fix project template and/or "to do list" Current version causes tables of content to be hidden unless/until reader chooses "show."

Wheelchair usage

Strayacj, the term "wheelchair bound" is considered offensive to folks who use wheelchairs. The idea is that a wheelchair is a tool, not a cage. You wouldn't describe me as "glasses bound" because I need glasses to read the text I'm now typing. You wouldn't describe most Americans as car-bound even though it's pretty hard to get around most of this country without a car. See List of disability-related terms with negative connotations for more. So I'm restoring my edit, and I would ask you to not to revert again without discussing it first. I request for where it says "Rugby football match on the 1846 Shrove Tuesday" to be changed to "Rugby union or rugby league match on the 1846 Shrove Tuesday", so the wording would be better. ~2026-13581-70 (talk) 16:21, 2 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Why do you think that wording is better? This article is about Rugby football, so making the caption clear that the image is of rugby football is a good thing to do. And specifying that we don't know the type doesn't seem particularly helpful. meamemg (talk) 19:58, 2 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]
