Explaining my revert

[edit]

I'm going to use the excerpt as an example:

It seems as Roberts always had a passion for music and always had the idea that she would pursue music in the future. Because of her exposure to music at an early age, Roberts always knew that she would pursue music. Roberts states "for me, it was never a question about pursuing music. I've always felt like God put me here to be an artist, to create music, to be a performer, and hopefully, to inspire others,” she explained and further stated “I've always known that I wanted to be a singer and I’ve been writing songs since I was 16 in high school."
  • This is sourced to a primary source, more specifically a BET interview. The sentence It seems as Roberts always had a passion for music and always had the idea that she would pursue music in the future is an interpretation of her quote, which would qualify as original research.
    • Additionally, Because of her exposure to music at an early age, Roberts always knew that she would pursue music is an entirely inappropriate sentence; says in WP:wikivoice subjective information from a primary source. (Avoid stating opinions as facts.)
The piano is, above all, a foundational instrument in the artist’s training and in her artistic and musical development. She began playing it in childhood and continues to use it as a primary tool in composing her music in particular. While the piano allows for the acquisition of basic musical skills, harmonic understanding, and the development of the musical ear, it also serves as a genuine support for Reyna Roberts. In this context, the piano functions less as a performance instrument than as a creative tool, especially in the early stages of songwriting. Moreover, it is generally used to enhance emotional intensity. It often appears in introspective passages or ballads, where its fuller and softer sound compared to the guitar helps emphasize themes such as vulnerability, resilience, or personal reflection.
  • The Billboard source used to support this paragraph doesn't even have any content.
  • This paragraph blatantly disregards neutral point of view; and reads like fluff. All it's really saying is that "Reyna Roberts started playing the piano during her childhood, she has received praise for her usage of the Piano in her songs." A lot of this is subjective unattributed opinions, they need to be attributed to someone. It's the same principle as putting "Jamie Stewart is the greatest musician ever" (bad) instead of "John Doe, writing for Example, has called Jamie Stewart the greatest musician ever" (good).
