Updates to article
[edit]| This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hello. The current article focuses heavily on the company's founding and doesn't cover any of its more recent activities. I'd like to suggest the following updates to the article, perhaps as additions to the "Background" section in chronological order or as a new section below it. I haven't made the changes myself because I am an employee of the company, and would appreciate it if the editors here could take a look:
In March 2019, RBC, British Columbia Investment Management Corporation and QuadReal Property Group formed a partnership to give RBC’s newly formed Canadian Core Real Estate Fund access to more than 40 real estate assets valued at over $7 billion. QuadReal manages this portfolio, which includes properties across Canada.[1] In November 2024, QuadReal and BCI participated in a transaction where the RBC Canadian Core Real Estate Fund acquired partial ownership in 40 assets valued at roughly $860 million.[2]
At the end of 2020, QuadReal partnered with AXA SA, Public Sector Pension Investment Board, Temasek Holdings, to complete 22 Bishopsgate in London, which became fully leased by July 2025.[3] In November 2023, QuadReal acquired Chicago-based CA Student Living and rebranded it as Article Student Living.[4] The following year, QuadReal issued $400 million in green bond senior notes on a private placement basis to accredited investors in Canada, with the proceeds managed and allocated by the company.[5]
In February 2025, QuadReal Property Group and T5 Data Centers announced an $8 billion joint venture to fund 5 gigawatts of new data center capacity across the U.S.[6]That same month, the company provided a $49.5 million loan to refinance Arris Grand, an apartment complex in Brooklyn’s Clinton Hill neighborhood.[7] In March, QuadReal purchased two manufactured housing communities in Colorado for $240 million, bringing its U.S. holdings in the sector to over 3,500 housing pads.[8]
In May 2025, QuadReal acquired Maple Leaf Storage Inc.[9][10] That same month,QuadReal and GPT Group formed a $1 billion joint venture to invest in Australian logistics, their second partnership after a similar deal in 2021. QuadReal holds an 80 percent share.[11][12] The next month, QuadReal purchased eight student housing properties in the UK from Apollo for £500 million.[13]
Also in 2025, QuadReal partnered with Valor Real Estate Partners to refinance a UK logistics portfolio of 14 assets with a £260 million loan from Blackstone Inc.[14] and a five-property urban logistics portfolio in Paris and Lyon with a €105 million loan from Deutsche Pfandbriefbank.[15]

- @AW4QR: You don't need to include all the investment announcements. Just the ones that have been more widely covered in news sources. Apart from that, the edit looks fine, so you can go ahead and add them into the article. ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 21:22, 11 December 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks ARandomName123, I included QuadReal's more widely covered and notable acquisitions in a new section and updated the Infobox to include the relevant subsidiaries.AW4QR (talk) 15:06, 15 December 2025 (UTC)
Proposed additional updates (History + Acquisitions)
[edit]| This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hello. I am a connected contributor (paid) and would like to suggest the following additional updates, supported by reliable secondary sources. I have not made the changes directly and would appreciate editor review.
1) History opening (QuadReal-first wording)
[edit]I propose the following alternative wording for the opening of the History section so that it begins with QuadReal itself (the article subject), rather than its parent entity, while retaining the same factual information.
Please replace:
British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI) is a crown corporation established to provide investment services to British Columbia’s public sector. On June 1, 2016, it announced it will create QuadReal…
With:
QuadReal Property Group was established on June 1, 2016, as a wholly owned real estate subsidiary of British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI), a crown corporation established to provide investment services to British Columbia’s public sector. On that date, BCI announced QuadReal would manage CA$18 billion in real estate assets.
2) Acquisitions section
[edit]I propose adding the following updates in chronological order, supported by reliable secondary sources:
In July 2023, Parkbridge, an operating platform of QuadReal, operated 60 land lease communities across Canada.[1] In November 2024, QuadReal expanded its manufactured housing portfolio outside of Canada with the acquisition of more than 17,000 units in the US.[2]
After the existing 2025 paragraph beginning “In May 2025, QuadReal and GPT Group formed…”, I propose adding:
In September 2025, the Financial Times reported QuadReal expanded its UK and Ireland real estate debt platform and planned to deploy more than £2.5 billion in lending over the following three to five years.[3] That same month, QuadReal acquired Realstar’s UK and Ireland residential operating platform, expanding its presence in build-to-rent and student living.[4]
In January 2026, QuadReal financed UK self-storage and logistics projects in an £86 million deal.[5]
Thank you. ~2026-15047-97 (talk) 14:40, 9 March 2026 (UTC)

- @AW4QR: 1) is good, feel free to replace it.
- 2) part 1 is fine. Regarding the Financial Times article, does not mention Ireland. Could you also clarify whether the £2.5 billion over 3-5 years is only for the UK, or across Europe? The wording of the article is a bit ambiguous as to whether the expansion occurs after the launch, or after the 3-5 year period. ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 06:55, 21 March 2026 (UTC)
Thank you for coming back to me and confirming part 1, I will go ahead and make the edit.
Regarding part 2, the £2.5 billion deployment relates to the UK and Ireland as the team is not focused on a broader European strategy at this time. The team has already started to deploy capital and will continue to do so over the next 3-5 years. If you have any further questions about this, please let me know. — Preceding unsigned comment added by AW4QR (talk • contribs) 17:04, 31 March 2026 (UTC)
- @AW4QR: Sounds good, you can go ahead with the rest of the edits then. ARandomName123 (talk)Ping me! 17:58, 14 April 2026 (UTC)

Done The previous logo was populating from Wikidata so I switched it out there. It should populate any language Wikipedia from there, including this one. CNMall41 (talk) 20:05, 25 May 2026 (UTC)
