Asking to update infobox
[edit]| This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hello! I'd like to ask that the Point Foundation's official wordmark logo be added to the infobox, as the article does not currently have a logo. I've uploaded the logo to Wikimedia Commons. You can view it by following this link.
I'd also like to correct the title of Point Foundation's Chief Executive, Jorge Valencia, to Chief Executive Officer (currently listed as Executive Director in the infobox)—here's some Wiki-coded text for that update:
| leader_title = Chief Executive Officer
| leader_name = Jorge Valencia[1]

I hope this is a straightforward request, but if there's anything else I need to do, please let me know. Thanks! Bryan at Point Foundation (talk) 19:29, 27 May 2026 (UTC)

[edit]| The user below has a request that an edit be made to Point Foundation (scholarship fund). That user has an actual or apparent conflict of interest. Hello! I'm a contractor for the Point Foundation and am looking to make improvements to this article. For this request, I'd like to ask editors to replace the current "Mission Statement" section, which doesn't have secondary sourcing, with a new, well-sourced "History" section about the organization. I just made updates to this request to take editor feedback into account.
Here is the draft:
Proposed History draft

History
Point Foundation was founded in 2001 and awarded its first scholarships in 2002.[1][2] The goal of founding the Point Foundation was to create a scholarship fund that supports LGBTQ+ and ally students who may be facing discrimination.[3] The organization awarded 8 scholarships to students in its first year and 27 scholarships in its second year.[4] In 2004, Point Foundation moved its headquarters to Chicago.[5] By 2006, the organization's scholarships and student services budget had increased from its initial $500,000[4] to more than $3 million, in part due to sponsorships from TimeWarner, CitiGroup, and Abercrombie & Fitch, among other companies.[3] Point Foundation moved its headquarters from Chicago to Los Angeles in 2007 with the appointment of Jorge Valencia to lead the organization.[6][7] In 2021, Point Foundation partnered with the Williams Institute to conduct a national survey among LGBTQ+ students on federal student loan debt[8] and access to student housing.[9] As of 2023, Point Foundation was the largest scholarship program for LGBTQ+ and ally college students in the US.[8] In 2025, the organization supported 755 LGBTQ+ and ally students across its scholarship programs.[10] Point Honors gala
Point Foundation has hosted annual Point Honors benefit galas to raise funds for the organization and to recognize leaders who serve as role models to LGBTQ+ and ally students.[11] The organization has recognized a number of celebrities for their leadership at Point Honors gala events with its Point Impact and Point Courage awards.[11] References
