Initial Entry
[edit]I was surprised to find that Paul Roebling did not have a Wikipedia entry given his career. I'm still learning more about his life but encourage others to add to the article.

- I have made a change to the page - the phrase "direct descendant" is incorrect, and had been changed to "descendant," as there is no such thing as an "Indirect descendant" (an oxymoron). One is either a descendant of a person or one is not. I have been a genealogical researcher for nearly 40 years, have been published in one of the scholarly genealogical journals (Mayflower Descendant), and write a column for The Mayflower Quarterly Magazine, published by the General Society of Mayflower Descendants (of which I am a member).
- I was very pleased to see the citation of the Sullivan Ballou letter. Roebling's masterful reading of that letter is a major part of the emotional impact of that scene. Dale H. Cook (talk) 13:27, 14 November 2025 (UTC)
