The Christian Passover

[edit]

The section about related holidays says that the original word for the Christian celebration of Easter comes from the Greek pascho meaning suffering, this is blatantly false, the word comes from Pascha the same word used for Passover in all Romance languages. This needs to be changed, the Christian feast of Easter is the Christian Passover, heck it says this on the Easter page as well ~2026-20672-99 (talk) 05:50, 3 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Also to note, there is no such thing as an Anglo Saxon feast of Easter, the earliest mention is St Bede who merely says the name comes from a month which comes from a goddess Eostre, see the Easter page for this information as well ~2026-20672-99 (talk) 05:54, 3 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]
