Died on the 14th of june 2026 in a helicopter accident in Brazil

Separate page after all details confirmed?

[edit source]

I feel like there should be a separate page for his death after everything is confirmed. Wikilover6767 (talk) 19:12, 14 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

There already is, 2026 Rio de Janeiro mid-air collision. If you're suggesting another page, chances are.... none. Already rare for a celebrity to get a "death of..." page, and in this case, he already has one dedicated to the accident as a whole. jolielover♥talk 19:16, 14 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox image

[edit source]

Are we serious about it? Was it added by a fan or hater ~2026-34877-50 (talk) 19:27, 14 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I'd say that the image portrays his most iconic look and therefore is appropriate. Viscrealrealism (talk) 19:29, 14 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I think the current Infobox image is fitting. (For now; unless we find a better image from somewhere that is in the public domain) It does show his iconic bowl cut and funky attire. KagedCroc1 ⭐️ 22:17, 14 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Someone gotta change death cause

[edit source]

It says he died in a helicopter crash which usually hints blunt force trauma was the cause of death he actually died to charring fire burns (very agonizing btw) which killed him once the plane had crashed. JJInsane (talk) 19:34, 14 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

@JJInsane Please provide a reliable source for this information. Strugglehouse (talk) 19:51, 14 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
That doesn’t change that the crash is what caused it. No serious person sees ‘crash’ and immediately assumes death must be from force of impact while dismissing all other possibilities out of hand. No other deceased person on Wikipedia gets that treatment in their top of page info card. Hhtesntwr (talk) 20:10, 14 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Add Semi-protection

[edit source]

Since he has recently passed, I think it'd be a good idea to add semi-protection to stop vandals. ~2026-33457-15 (talk) 19:58, 14 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I think it's fine for now. Per WP:SEMI and WP:SEMIGUIDE, protection is only really added when it's required because of persistent vandalism. Right now, this isn't the case. Strugglehouse (talk) 20:01, 14 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
It was already protected with semi-protection by the time of this comment. There was persistent vandalism prior to protection. jolielover♥talk 04:16, 15 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

"Aerial collision" and "Mid-air collision"

[edit source]

I've seen people consistently change the cause of death section on the infobox from "Aerial collision" to "Mid-air collision". I'd rather start a talk page topic about this and revert edits regarding this subject until this is discussed to prevent edit warring, but which term works best? — Marblyn ♍ (talk) 23:49, 14 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Was just about to on and say this. People are putting it on the articles of everyone involved. The copter in the clip isn't even the one he was in. Its upsetting to watch, and it's a GIF so you can't even just choose to not watch it. Moose enthusiast (talk) 04:14, 15 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

[[Olive tree]] distinguishment

[edit source]

I noticed that an editor had placed {{distinguish|Olive tree}} in the article, but another editor removed it. Would it be necessary? — Marblyn ♍ (talk) 05:06, 15 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I deleted it. The two articles are so different (biography of a person vs. a plant) that I don't think that it's possible for them to be confused. Viscrealrealism (talk) 05:42, 15 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think that's really how that template works. If it's a similar-sounding term, then it should be appended at the beginning of the page. — Marblyn ♍ (talk) 05:54, 15 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Definitely not this one – the quality is terrible Fortek67 (talk) 16:42, 15 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

“Filmmaker”

[edit source]

Was he really a filmmaker? All I see in his filmography section is that he made a few guest appearances and had some minor roles on television and film. Nothing about him making a film or being a director, producer or screenwriter at least. Should the “filmmaker” profession be removed from his lead and infobox? TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 04:56, 16 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I have boldly removed the filmmaker profession from the lead, per MOS:BIOFIRSTSENTENCE. Tree is best known as a musician, not a filmmaker. jolielover♥talk 06:17, 16 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Under the section of the helicopter crash it states "On the morning of June 14, 2026, 15 days before his 33rd birthday, Tree was among the five occupants aboard a Bell 206 JetRanger helicopter." It should be changed to "On the morning of June 14, 2026, 15 days before his 33rd birthday, Tree was among the five OTHER occupants aboard a Bell 206 JetRanger helicopter." It sounds like there were only five occupants with the way it is worded when there was six occupants. LevNoonan (talk) 01:56, 19 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Oliver Trees Death

[edit source]

There is currently no confirmed information from reliable sources regarding Oliver Tree’s reported death. His team has not released an official statement, authorities have not publicly identified the bodies, and upcoming shows have not been cancelled or postponed. Some fans have questioned the accuracy of the initial reports, but at this time there is no verified evidence supporting any alternative explanation.
