Died on the 14th of june 2026 in a helicopter accident in Brazil
I think the current Infobox image is fitting. (For now; unless we find a better image from somewhere that is in the public domain) It does show his iconic bowl cut and funky attire. KagedCroc1⭐️22:17, 14 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
It says he died in a helicopter crash which usually hints blunt force trauma was the cause of death he actually died to charring fire burns (very agonizing btw) which killed him once the plane had crashed. JJInsane (talk) 19:34, 14 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
That doesn’t change that the crash is what caused it. No serious person sees ‘crash’ and immediately assumes death must be from force of impact while dismissing all other possibilities out of hand. No other deceased person on Wikipedia gets that treatment in their top of page info card. Hhtesntwr (talk) 20:10, 14 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I've seen people consistently change the cause of death section on the infobox from "Aerial collision" to "Mid-air collision". I'd rather start a talk page topic about this and revert edits regarding this subject until this is discussed to prevent edit warring, but which term works best? — Marblyn ♍ (talk) 23:49, 14 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

this is wrong message he is still alive to this day i am his manager and his next to me right now making music so please change that he is alive and not deaed ~2026-34949-27 (talk) 00:45, 15 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Was just about to on and say this. People are putting it on the articles of everyone involved. The copter in the clip isn't even the one he was in. Its upsetting to watch, and it's a GIF so you can't even just choose to not watch it. Moose enthusiast (talk) 04:14, 15 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed that an editor had placed {{distinguish|Olive tree}} in the article, but another editor removed it. Would it be necessary? — Marblyn ♍ (talk) 05:06, 15 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, I deleted it. The two articles are so different (biography of a person vs. a plant) that I don't think that it's possible for them to be confused. Viscrealrealism(talk)05:42, 15 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think that's really how that template works. If it's a similar-sounding term, then it should be appended at the beginning of the page. — Marblyn ♍ (talk) 05:54, 15 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

"When Tree was 13, his cousin died from spiral meningitis, causing him to become a drug addict and dealer, which lead to him being kicked out of his home."
Someone is always changing the picture of Tree in the infobox... can we just settle for one finally? Preferably one of the more recent ones. Fortek67 (talk) 16:19, 15 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
The mullet one is the one that should stay, it was the hairstyle for which he was known the most, and also the one he died with. Luchadab50 (talk) 16:35, 15 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I would have said that this picture from 2019 would work, as this is how he was most recognized by. However, the quality is pretty low.YeetV4 (talk) 16:40, 15 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, if it were of higher quality, then this would make the most sense. But for now just keep the one from 2022. YeetV4 (talk) 16:43, 15 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

write oliver tree was a good friend of many, and the passing has been unexpecting and very upsetting for close friends and any remaining family. ~2026-35190-43 (talk) 20:46, 15 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Was he really a filmmaker? All I see in his filmography section is that he made a few guest appearances and had some minor roles on television and film. Nothing about him making a film or being a director, producer or screenwriter at least. Should the “filmmaker” profession be removed from his lead and infobox? TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 04:56, 16 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
The fact that he died morning is already included in the article. That source doesn't seem to confirm a time beyond 'morning' (although I will add that the source is extremely buggy for me - I could have potentially missed something). jolielover♥talk15:14, 16 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
"Throughout his career, he was best known for his trolling"
Hello. I saw this in the opening paragraph which is sourced to the Hollywood Reporter. However, there is nothing more about his trolling in the article. As someone who knows nothing about this person, apart from his tragic death, please could someone expand on this? Thank you. ~2026-33555-39 (talk) 10:37, 16 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
It looks to me like someone revised the Ugly Is Beautiful section, but accidentally overwrote the section on Cowboy Tears instead. Just need to revert that section to what it was before the death revisions. Steerem (talk) 15:31, 17 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

In the casualties in the death section. "The sole occupant of the Bell 206, pilot Charles Marsillac, also perished." -- Change Bell 206 to AS350. As the mentioned person was an occupant of the AS350. ~2026-35659-72 (talk) 01:10, 18 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Under the section of the helicopter crash it states "On the morning of June 14, 2026, 15 days before his 33rd birthday, Tree was among the five occupants aboard a Bell 206 JetRanger helicopter." It should be changed to "On the morning of June 14, 2026, 15 days before his 33rd birthday, Tree was among the five OTHER occupants aboard a Bell 206 JetRanger helicopter." It sounds like there were only five occupants with the way it is worded when there was six occupants. LevNoonan (talk) 01:56, 19 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
There is currently no confirmed information from reliable sources regarding Oliver Tree’s reported death. His team has not released an official statement, authorities have not publicly identified the bodies, and upcoming shows have not been cancelled or postponed. Some fans have questioned the accuracy of the initial reports, but at this time there is no verified evidence supporting any alternative explanation. Until reliable secondary sources provide clear information, it may be best to avoid adding anything to the article. Clint O'Shea (talk) 22:37, 19 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
That is literally the most important part of his entire career, as he released the two widely popular hit songs Life goes on and Miss you. Why is this left out? Setarip (talk) 21:41, 20 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure what happened, maybe someone removed it on accident? But I've readded the section from a previous version of the article. Skyshiftertalk18:23, 21 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
Ugly is Beautiful tour was only in the spring of 2019, it didn’t go into 2020.
you’re also missing the Goodbye Farwell tour in 2019, the One Last Ride tour in 2022, and Dr. Oliver Tree’s Lobotomy Tour in 2024. Donutbigboy (talk) 18:34, 21 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
I have removed the location entirely. Although the source does say London, it appears the label is based in Ghent; unless there's something to support the claim that it's also based in London, it'll stay removed. jolielover♥talk14:59, 22 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
