Birth year?

[edit source]

I recently changed the birth date to 1998 by extrapolating it from the given ages in the various sources (see edit reason for specific details), which is admittedly not a very solid source. Before this, his birth year was inconsistently stated on the article as 1996 or 1997; is there an origin to that claim? ~2026-13173-18 (talk) 02:02, 20 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

I think you handled it correctly. Because this is a somewhat common situation, Wikipedia actually has a cool template called {{birth based on age as of dates}} that can automatically do the calculation for you by specifying what age the person was on each date. So I've replaced the birth year you added with this template call:
{{birth based on age as of dates
    |21 |2019|10|15
    |25 |2023|10|26
    |26 |2025|01|27
  }}
We tell the template we know that he was 21 years old on 2019-10-15, that he was 25 years old on 2023-10-26, etc.
That way, the age number in parentheses in the infobox will automatically update. Right now, it says his age is 27–28, but by October 16, for example, it'll update to just say 28. Cadddr (talk) 03:16, 20 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]
