Talk:Multigrain flour

Unreliable sources, possible spam
[edit]Most sources cited are promotional sources from vendors, which are not considered reliable. For example: rotimatic.com, aashirvaadchakki.com, iid.org.in, primaflour.com, anovaculinary.com, himalayanchef.pk, theworksoflife.com, aazol.in, twobrothersindiashop.com.
On top of this, the iid.org.in link is literally titled "undefined" (https://www.iid.org.in/blogs/undefined) and contains purely promotional content. Informaldehyde (talk) 03:47, 20 June 2026 (UTC)
- On top of that, even the more reliable sources (doi:10.3390/nu10111615 and doi:10.3945/ajcn.2010.29417) might not be on-topic here. Neither source mentions multigrain flour; they are primarily concerned with whole grains.
- Multigrain flour isn't necessarily whole grain; I have a bag of multigrain bread made primarily with refined wheat flour sitting on my counter right now, and it has very little fiber content. (It is my favorite kind of bread.) Informaldehyde (talk) 03:53, 20 June 2026 (UTC)
- Correction: thewoksoflife.com (with typo above) is not a promotional site (we regret this error). Everything else still stands. Informaldehyde (talk) 05:02, 20 June 2026 (UTC)
- Minor correction: the iid.org.in link isn't titled "undefined". There is no such post, and this has always been a dead link (see https://web.archive.org/web/20250114125521/https://www.iid.org.in/blogs/undefined).
- (Which, to me, is worse - this is starting to look like one of those LLM-invented fake citations.) Informaldehyde (talk) 05:02, 20 June 2026 (UTC)
- Also noting that the article is largely lifted verbatim from these (largely unreliable) sources, and some of the claims are not even attributed to their respective sources. For example, variations of "encourage the feeling of fullness" appear twice, but neither time attributed to their actual source (which seems to be https://aazol.in/blogs/news/amazing-health-benefits-of-eating-multigrain-atta-you-did-not-know). - Note: I've double-checked the above and tagged the inline citations accordingly, in preparation of future cleanup (permalink) Informaldehyde (talk) 22:23, 26 June 2026 (UTC)
