Death - restrict editing?

I don't know how to do it, but since he has just died, shouldn't the page itself have a restriction on editing? -Hugh7 (talk) 08:15, 15 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I think that's generally for high profile deaths likely to attract lots of editing and potentially vandalism/misinformation attempts. Although Gee is high profile in the New Zealand literary world, I don't think he quite meets the bar. @Schwede66, can you correct me if I'm wrong?
