[edit]

The previous edit included "At 10984 meters, assuming average seawater density, the density is 1050kg/m^3" which is not cited and may be incorrect leading to the LLM warning on the page. Regardless, it is not grammatically correct via a missing period. I suggest removing "At 10984 meters, assuming average seawater density, the density is 1050kg/m^3". Misinformation?

[edit]

Section with life talks about 10cm long single celled organisms. The citation given doesn’t talk about this at all. ~2026-24014-04 (talk) 16:40, 19 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

The cited work says "The team documented the deepest known existence of xenophyophores, single-celled animals exclusively found in deep-sea environments. Xenophyophores are noteworthy for their size, with individual cells often exceeding 4 inches (10 centimeters)", however, it doesn't day that such large examples were observed there, so some rewording is probably in order. Grammar

[edit]

edit required in intro paragraph: "This makes the deepest point of the trench is more than 2 km (1.2 mi) farther from sea level than the peak of Mount Everest.[a]" makes no sense ~2026-31742-50 (talk) 12:10, 28 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]

It's understandable, if poorly expressed. An alternative could be "This makes the deepest point more than 2 km (1.2 mi) farther below sea level than Mount Everest is above.(a)" Mikenorton (talk) 13:00, 28 May 2026 (UTC)[reply]
