A fact from Kibu.com appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 24 July 2021 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that Kibu.com was shut down 46 days after it was launched?

... that Kibu.com was shut down 46 days after it was launched? Source: The Register (article): "Execs at Kibu.com, a virtual hangout for teenage girls, have pulled the plug on the site just 46 days after its launch."
New enough. Long enough (5x). NPOV okay. Interesting hook well-cited, and all paragraphs well-cited. Earwig etc found no close paraphrasing issues, copyright violations or plagiarism. QPQ done. Edwardx (talk) 14:00, 17 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The recent edits here look like a soft-WP:HIJACK/A. "Kibu.com" and "HomeField US, Inc., DBA Kibu" are entirely separate with no relation aside from the domain and should have separate articles. "HomeField, DBA Kibu" isn't even doing business as Kibu.com, just Kibu. It seems to me that if PatFromKibu would like to, or is required to, make an article about Kibu they should follow WP:PAID and WP:COI, and use the WP:AFC process to make a new article instead of repurposing an article about a different business from over two decades ago. fifteen thousand two hundred twenty four (talk) 03:43, 14 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I was the one who originally created Kibu.com so my comment may be a bit biased, but I also am concerned it is hijacking, as they are two unrelated businesses and the username of the editor indicates that there is a possible conflict of interest. lullabying (talk) 04:54, 14 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Agree: This appears to be an article hijack as they are separate entities and the content relating to HomeField US, Inc., DBA Kibu US, Inc. has no sources. Due to the unsourced content additions and the risk of undisclosed paid editing, I have boldly corrected this. @PatFromKibu: I'd recommend following the above advice, and submit a draft article using the Articles for Creation wizard. Your previous edits are archived in the page history, should you wish to refer to them when creating your draft. You might also find it useful to read Help:Your first article.
