Known as "ken" in hacker circles?

[edit]

The reference to him being "ken" seems to be from a light-hearted comment in a twenty-year-old book, which doesn't even support the supposition that he is "commonly" known as "ken" in hacker circles. NotYourFathersOldsmobile (talk) 06:38, 10 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I can't decide if this story is relevant to this page, or just interesting and only of tangential interest

Hello there! I have added the heading "Programming Setup" before a paragraph about his programming setup. I just want to know if is it ok and not against the rules and regulations.

Thank you. ResunS (talk) 15:52, 25 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The heading is okay -- however the paragraph itself feels pretty pointless (seriously, who cares). I would delete the heading *and* the paragraph. Gvanrossum (talk) 01:26, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

When did Thompson start working at Google?

[edit]

In the first paragraph, it says: "Since 2006, Thompson has worked at Google, where he co-developed the Go language."

Later on, in the 2020s section, it says "As of 2024 he works at Google", which is misleading.

There is also no mention of Google in the 2000s section, and there is no 2010s section.

Perhaps the breakdown by decade is a bit inaccurate and/or arbitrary.
