Regarding an article on Madara Uchiha

Currently, there are only two known surviving members of the clan: Sasuke Uchiha and Akatsuki mastermind Tobi, who is the clan founder himself, Madara Uchiha. After obtaining the Mangekyo Sharingan by watching his best friend, Shisui Uchiha, die, Itachi proceeded to slaughter the rest of the clan.

Themes / Cycle of Hatred

A theme section can be added to emphasize the role of Itachi Uchiha in the show. He exemplifies the cycle of hatred, a central and important theme in the show. His sacrifice prevented a civil war in Konoha and the sole remaining survivor was his brother Sasuke, whom Itachi planted seeds of hatred within so that Sasuke would seek vengeance upon him and be seen as a hero for defeating him. That was Itachi's original plan as a way to end the cycle of hatred cursed upon the Uchiha clan. However, his story only emphasized and contributed to the never-ending cycle as Sasuke ends up betraying the village, becoming a rogue ninja, a war-criminal and terrorist, all in the means of vengeance and hatred. Itachi, upon finding out about the danger that Sasuke has become, realizes his mistake of his plan and of deceiving him how it had ultimately led to the continuation of the curse.
