Capitol Highway exit

[edit]

Any streetside imagery will show that Capitol Highway is signed as 1B southbound, in fact the same number as the US-101 exit. I can confirm this as I travelled here 6 years ago (it may have been changed since then). Thoughts? Is the "1B" a mistake on CalTrans? Or is the "1D" a mistake on this article? thetechie@enwiki (she/they | talk) 20:05, 15 December 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Context with southbound numbering (if my memory is correct):
2A - Alum Rock
1B (listed as article as 1D): Capitol Expressway
1C: King Rd
1B: US-101
Then begins I-280. thetechie@enwiki:~$ she/they | talk | contributions 22:23, 4 January 2026 (UTC)[reply]
For assigned exit numbers, the better source is AARoads' I-680 exit list, which documents current signage against Caltrans records. If street-level imagery and your firsthand observation both show 1B, and the article says 1D, that's likely an error in the junction list, correct it with the AARoads cite or a Caltrans signing plan as the source. Two exits sharing 1B southbound in the same direction would itself be a Caltrans error worth flagging to District 4. Sparks19923 (talk) 10:03, 5 March 2026 (UTC)[reply]
