Merger proposal issue
[edit]the Merger proposal was closed when it was still very much active. I Like The british Rail Class 483 (talk) 07:29, 25 April 2023 (UTC)
- The proposal directly above was started 3 months ago? Hardly
"active"
. Mattdaviesfsic (talk) 07:31, 25 April 2023 (UTC) - But the last two votes happened on the same day. Also it is missing some votes. I Like The british Rail Class 483 (talk) 07:33, 25 April 2023 (UTC)
- I only closed it because I was reminded of it when I saw those comments. If people wanted they had 3 months to make any comments on it. Consensus there supported it, so it was thus closed. Mattdaviesfsic (talk) 07:35, 25 April 2023 (UTC)
- there was a comment which did not support it and it made in the same time and it did not show up in the comment box. I Like The british Rail Class 483 (talk) 07:38, 25 April 2023 (UTC)
- Not according to the page history. No one made any comment outside those that are there. Mattdaviesfsic (talk) 07:46, 25 April 2023 (UTC)
- Per the instructions, closure can be made 7 days after the discussion is initiated. At no point was the oppose vote ever ahead, so regardless of when the discussion was closed, the redirect proposal was going to be successful. I have gone ahead and redirected. Much of the content already appears to already be in the InterCity 125 article, and that that isn't, is uncited. Walisnyx (talk) 06:09, 9 May 2023 (UTC)

Mexico
[edit]We have "Interoceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec" in the infobox, with a paywalled citation, but nothing about this in the body of the article. Can someone add some suitable content, please? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 15:33, 9 November 2023 (UTC)

First Delivery Date
[edit]The article suggests deliveries started in late 1975 but Alstom reported yesterday that 18 February 1976 was the first completed power car to leave Crewe. Was 1975 a PR thing to try and link with the 150th anniversary of the railways? Warren (talk) 10:38, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
- Leaving crewe <> formal delivery following trials and acceptance Danners430 tweaks made 10:39, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
- So should the article be updated as 1975 appears to be earlier than it really happened? Warren (talk) 13:14, 16 April 2026 (UTC)
XPT image
[edit]The image of an XPT in the Australian variant section is in CountryLink livery. CountryLink's corporate colours at the time of its 2013 cessation were white and two blues [1], NSW TrainLink's has always been white and orange.[2]
While it has not been applied to all rolling stock, of the stock it has repainted, has been with orange, not two blues e.g. [3]. This was taken in 2018, long before the transfer of some services to Sydney Trans. So the statement that NSW TrainLink has adopted the former CountryLink livery is not correct.
This is reinforced by images of NSW TrainLink's road coach fleet being painted white and orange. e.g. [4] which is quite different to [5], the CountryLink livery that was applied to road coaches. Tankgoldgirl (talk) 00:39, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
- Dear @Tankgoldgirl, NSW TrainLink has adopted the CountryLink colours, sans the branding. Such is the NSW TrainLink livery, worn by all NSW TrainLink trains nowadays, re-applied during recent refurbishments.
- The corporate colours are not at question; it is the operator livery that matters here. I do not think the reader needs to know what the name of the operator was several years before the picture was taken, and given the absence of CountryLink branding that was removed during the 2013 restructuring, it is also a bit misleading.
- Coach liveries are not at question either. The intercity fleet, which largely was repainted, is as you know no longer operated by NSW TrainLink.
- Take a look at the Transport for NSW website here. Note, 'NSW TrainLink Regional Trains' — painted as they are.
- If we were being pedantic, we might say that they are still the CountryLink colours but that it is the TrainLink livery.
- Should the reader be interested in the evolution of XPT liveries over time, the XPT article is of use to them.
- Kind regards, Will Thorpe (talk) 06:26, 15 June 2026 (UTC)
