Improving this page
[edit]Hi Wiki community - how can I improve this page further. I added secondary sources, cited tier 1 media outlets like the Wall Street Journal and CNBC to add credibility and reputation to the article, but it still shows as stub-class. Thanks for your help! Reclassification Review Request
[edit]I am requesting a reassessment of this article's current Stub-class rating. Over the past several weeks, the article has been substantially expanded and improved. I want to be transparent upfront: I have a conflict of interest (COI) as I am affiliated with GeneDx. I have disclosed this on my user page and am committed to editing in accordance with Wikipedia's conflict of interest guidelines.
In making these edits, I have tried to ensure the article meets community standards, including:
Neutral point of view: Promotional language and superlatives have been removed. The article does not include the company's mission statement or marketing claims. Verifiability: Claims are supported by independent, secondary sources including JAMA, Nature Genetics, The American Journal of Human Genetics, The Journal of Pediatrics, The Wall Street Journal, CNBC, and TIME, among others. No original research: All content is sourced to published, reliable sources. Notability: The article documents significant independent coverage of the company, its research contributions, and its leadership. Specific improvements made include:
Expanded lead section summarizing the article's key content Added a Research Contributions section with peer-reviewed citations from major journals Removed all promotional language Added inline citations throughout, replacing unsourced claims Expanded coverage of the GUARDIAN newborn screening study, including the JAMA publication and its recognition as Research of the Year for 2025 Added coverage of the SeqFirst research program and its published findings I welcome any feedback from the community on areas that still need improvement, and I am happy to make further changes based on editor guidance. I recognize that as a COI editor, the community's independent review is important, and I appreciate any time editors are willing to spend reviewing this article. Many families on diagnostic odysseys (the time it takes a family to receive an accurate diagnosis) may come to this page for more information, so it's important that the quality is as high as possible to inform them about the company and the technology.
Thank you. "Sabrinadunbar (talk) 18:52, 23 April 2026 (UTC)"
